SAHODAYA INTER SCHOOL DECLAMATION CONTEST
SAHODAYA INTER SCHOOL DECLAMATION CONTEST 2014 (for classes from VI to XII) was hosted by Moga Devi Minda Memorial School, HBagla, Hisar in its conference hall on Saturday, 25th January, 2014.Students of 20 reputed schools of Hisar participated in the contest and spoke on various topics like Social Evil, Environmental Issue etc.
Mr. M.C Joshi, the Director of the school was the chief guest on the occasion.
The Worthy Principal, Mr. Mathew Varghese in his welcome address said that the art of communication was the most important ingredient of human personality and a stepping stone forward for success in life.
He said that declamations, debates and discussions provided the students a forum for enlightenment of mind and develop leadership qualities in them.
The three eminent personalities as judges for the contest were Dr. Kiran Malhotra, Mrs. Manju Mehta and Mr. Sanjay Joshi. They judged the students on the basis of their performance.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Malhotra emphasized upon the need of promoting a culture of healthy co-curricular activities in educational institutions which was vital for intellectual and physical development of students’ faculties.
She said that the art of speaking effectively and fluently adds to the confidence of a person and ensures his success in life.
She stressed upon the need of promoting oratory skills at school/college level for personality development of students.
RESULT
A Grand Display of Oratory Excellence at Sahodaya Inter-School Speech Competition! 🏆Under the banner of Sahodaya School Group, the Inter-School Hindi Speech Competition “Vicharveethi: Flow of Ideas” was successfully hosted by Delhi Public School, Hisar on 12 July 2025.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from 34 schools, with students expressing powerful ideas on social and environmental issues.

The event was graced by Dr. Matthew Varghese (President, Sahodaya) and Mr. Dinesh Mehta (Secretary, Sahodaya),
and judged by a distinguished panel including Prof. Monica Kakkar, Dr. Seema Chaudhary, and Mrs. Roopam Ahlawat.
The competition successfully provided a platform to nurture confident, aware, and socially responsible young speakers.
